We are currently accepting applications for this summer's POV Filmmaking Program.
Over the course of thirteen weekends, ten eligible students will learn the basics in filmmaking while making their own films. Under the guidance of industry professionals, students will work in teams to write, direct, shoot and score their own work.
The program runs every Saturday, with occasional evening events, from mid June through to end of August.
To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Between the ages of 19-24
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Identify as at-risk
- Have no plans to return to school in the fall.
Priority is given to applicants living in one of Toronto's under-served communities.
The program aims to support youth who are economically disadvantaged. There is no fee for taking the program. In fact, all participants will receive a stipend for completing the program.
